Whether you’re a first timer or a seasoned traveler, it’s always helpful to have a travel checklist.
When packing for a vacation the most important things to consider are the length of your trip, the weather, and other gears you might need. This will also guide you in your decision if you’ll be checking a bag or only taking a carry-on.
Organize your travel essentials
Have a small bag or a shoulder bag to put all the essential items like you passport, ID, wallet and boarding pass. It is always nice to have a bag that’s easy to access so you don’t have to get into your luggage each time you need something.
Pro tip: Bring copies of your passport and IDs. Don’t forget to bring a pen!
- Boarding pass
- Driver’s License
What clothes to bring
To help you plan what clothes to bring, use the 5,4,3,2,1 rule for a weeklong trip. 5 pairs of socks and underwear, 4 tops, 3 bottoms, 2 footwear (a pair of shoes and sandals/flip flops) and 1 hat. The rule should be adjusted to suit your needs. Add swimwear or jacket if you need them.
- Sandals / Flip flops
To make sure that you only bring the products that you need, always think about your daily grooming and skincare routine. Pack just those items to avoid over packing. Always remember that you are only allowed to bring liquid less than 100 ml in your carry on bag.
